Finally , after a couple of years I have finished the final piece of our family room furniture.

The wood is Maple , tiger and plain bought from a local sawmill and the handle design was featured in Fine woodworking by Chris Becksvoort ( if I remember correctly)

The first piece made was to house all the tv boxes, video plaver ,sound system etc.

This again is western maple from the same lumberyard with walnut pulls.

The videos go in the drawers.

Next was a piece to house all my cd’s

This is made from Butternut, the lightest ( in weight) wood I have worked with, in fact I included maple shelves just to give it some weight. I made a pair of these, the wood came from a listing on craigslist.

Thanks for looking

The maple figure is remarkable and the cabinet is impressive.
