I made a couple #8 shaker oval tea trays based on oval boxes. The design is from John Wilson. The trays are made from white oak and maple plywood for the bottoms. The finish is an oil varnish and then topped with black bison wax which gives it an aged look that I really love. I didn’t have the right size copper tacks so I used some steel ones from the local hardware store and have my fingers crossed that they won’t rust.

nice if you drink tea and i do so quite nice as tea drink binds us to the souls who share a cup from the same pot
to serve cup and pot on a platter
unquestionable good taste
