Just playing in the shop, learning how to do various cuts. The inside is routed out with a straight bit, the curved bits on the inside put in with a bullnose. Everything else is cut with a hand saw and a chisel, technique I clearly need to work on.
I built one out of mahogany, which doesn’t have enough cross-grain strength for this, and I’ve got another one in the shop in progress out of purpleheart, but I think this one will work for a while.
