These are some razors I made for Christmas presents for the guys in my family. They’re thuja burl with a few coats of CA to finish for durability. Hopefully they’ll be water-resistant!

A fun and easy project, and they look great!

They do look great!

Do these come in a kit, or can you retro-fit your existing razor?

they were a kit… purchased from Rockler. They take Mach 3 blades. don’t know if you could retrofit a razor or not.

I just ordered some more kits from woodturningz, as I’m getting some requests for more. They are running them on sale for $5.90 a kit, IIRC.

Put a nice piece of burl on there, and they look like $100 razors!

those are nice gifts i love thuya burl ive used it for pens many times great wood to work with turns like hard butter.you should have no problem with exposure to water the wood is very oily and with ca finish should last for years great job.
