This is the planer stand that I was building when I took my first pictures of my shop. It rolls around and the Outfeed of the planer is level with my Table saw Outfeed table. I added the drawer later and it has been very useful. The carcass and drawer are birch ply and the edging is poplar. This was my first drawer hanging and I definitely didn’t get the dimensions of the drawer right, but practice, practice, practice. I adapted the design from one of Danny Proulx’s from one of his books, but basically, I redesigned to fit my needs. The planer is attached to a blank that fits into the top and can be removed if I want to make it just a table. After doing that a few times with the 80 lb planer, I decided that that little idea wasn’t all that great, but who knows, maybe I will use it later.

Hey, thanks for posting your planer table. I will be building one soon, and it’s always helpful to see what solutions others have come up with. It has mobility and storage. It is simple and functional.

tools on wheels really makes a difference in the shop, doesn’t it.
We could use a few of these.

Thanks, it is definitely getting better in my shop. Of course, I could easily use up a great deal of square footage, that’s for sure.
