Our neighbor and friend asked me if I could make a picture frame for a picture of her son that she treasured. Her only request was that it had a more modern look. I made this out of hard rock maple with a little bit of black walnut for the corner accents. This was my first (almost) all hand tool project. The lumber was dimensioned by hand and the miters were also cut by hand. I finished it off with around 6 coats of clear shellac.
