Here are some new projects from VT’s shop. This picture frame didn’t come out to the desired dimensions (Did I double check my math? Doh!), but I liked the color anyways. It is made out of Lyptus and Mahogany, and with just the clear sealer and the poly coat, it matches the tones of our Red Oak floors in the living room. The joint is a bridle joint and I put a chamfer on the outside edge and a stopped chamfer on the inside edge. The frame will hold three of the watercolors that we picked up on our recent European Vacation.

Nice frame – I like the finish and that bridle joint should make it strong.

If only I had been a little bit more awake when I drew it up on the graph paper.
