This is a credenza that I built out of oak for one of my customers.
The assignment was to match as closely as possible the style and color antique oak filing cabinet in the photos.
The center section has doors which “hide away” to create a knee space when using the computer which would later take up residence on its top.
For the top I used 1/2” plywood topped with oak hardwood flooring and trimmed it out with custom made moldings.
The sides have double doors and shelves inside.
I had to go back after the fact and put a hole in the top for the computer power cords.

Nice piece – your color match is nearly perfect. Customer should be very pleased. I like the hidden knee space idea, nice touchl.
