I had never heard of Flame Elder, but I bought some from the internet. Wow, that is pretty wood, think Ill be trying to find some more for who knows what yet, but I like it

the knive blank came from ebay seller premiumknifesupply.inc, Ive bought a good amount from them, good seller, no problems

Nice work. Make sure you use a good UV inhibitor finish, as the Box elder will tend to lose the red for brown if exposed to sunlight over time.

Nice knife great color. I made knives in the past,now do woodwork ,just moved to Haines City Fl.,and can’t find hardwood or cabinet parts,just stuck using Borg stores. You have great projects.

Box Elder is awesome . How about a focused close-up of just the handle now that we’ve seen the blade design. I’m scheduled for Cataract surgery on the 22nd and these small pictures are difficult for me to see the details in the wood. Thank you : )
