Bought a Finger joint blade set from L.V. awhile back so needed to make a sled for it, Blades cut 1/4” and 3/8” so built the sled to cut both then I thought may as well do 1/2” too! Made from stuff kicking around in the shop. 1/2” BB base with Birch rails, 1/4” hardboard replaceable sliding kerf guides and the fingers are made from some scrap Jatoba flooring. With a little fine tuning it makes a very nice joint, practice board was some pine scraps.

Nice sled. Looks like you’re all set up to make some boxes. Those are sure some tight fitting joints.

Nice looking sled. I need to make one of these for myself.
