Planer table

My GF got me my first planer. As tempted as I was to start using it right out of the box, I decided it needed a proper table. I went and looked at the Dewalt table designed for it. At $150 I decided I’d just build my own. It started out as just a table but I decided I’m tired of wasted space and dust getting on my tools. So what was supposed to be a quick cheap table project, turned into a cabinet. Halfway through, I figured might as well throw in a power outlet too. The cabinet is made entirely from birch ply. 3/4 for the top and frame. 1/2 for the side panels and drawers. I made the handles from 3/4 ply as well. I finished it all with Minwax wipe-on poly. It measures at 31-5/8” T x 21-1/2” W x 22” D. It’s sized so the planer is the same height as my table saw. The drawers are full extension. This was a great shop furniture project that helped hone some skills.

Nice to have a dedicated table. It would be really cool if that outlet was wireless ;) Enjoy!
