nice looking paddles… but what are you doing? Outfitting an entire outrigger canoe?
Reminds me of the joke… “Damn, we’ve got to paddle faster… the Captain wants to water ski…”

Thanks everyone. These are for my personal use. I thought of trying to sell them. I think they are about $40.00 paddles. The store owner would give me $20.00 for. Lets see $8.00 for wood. One hour plus for construction. Two hours for sales. That leaves me at $4.60 an hour.
Too much like trying to build furniture. I’d do better flipping burgers.

Dennis,
These are beautiful! They look too nice to use. I think I’d just hang them up in the family room

Very nicely done, Sir. Even it nobody will pay what they’re worth, you’ve got your self some good looking paddles. It’s unfortunate that mass production has lowered appreciate for fine work.

Bob I can fit five people in my raft and I figured we would be sure to lose one (person or paddle) in the rapids.

Great job on the paddles , Dennis. You’re not alone in the unemployment line,my friend .
I was out on the lake last summer trying out my newly rebuilt motor and sure enough , the mechanic forgot to adjust something properly and silly me , I left my oars in my pickup truck .
So there I sat until I spotted a chap and two women coming along in a row boat….I shouted out to him , “Hey Buddy , can ya loan me one of your oars ”?
He replied in an English accent , “Oh these aren’t ‘ores ,Mate . This one is me wife and the other lass is her sister” : )
