One of my customers wanted me to build this for her. When her husband received the package, he called me up to tell me that the bases fell off! (I guess the wood was a little too green) He was nice about it and told me how to do it right. The wood is Balmagilead, except for the pole for the paper towel holder, which is Speckled Alder with the bark removed. Alder is normally “brush”, but it has a bright orangish-brown patina color and comes in handy for small projects like this. Like lots of other people at LumberJocks, ya gotta use what ya got.

Great live edge designs. I have done coasters but not the other 2 yet.
Great job. (we all learn from our little boo boo’s)
Keep it up.

I agree with Scrappy the natural edge looks great.
