I finished this childs rocker for my good neighbor’s 2 year old daughter. He gave me the 2 pigs for an upcoming pig roast. The chair is the least I could do. The chair is pin oak, finished with 1 coat of Bullseye seal coat and 3 coats of Target EM 6000. Also thought I would show off my 2 week old Jack Russell puppies.

Nice rocker and looks like some good eating to take place. Did you make the rocker from a plan?

The chair will make a nice heirloom. Good job!

That’s a definate family airloom. I hope you signed it. Several generations from now someone will want to know who made it. Nice work. It looks like you dovetailed the seat frame, did you? What is “Target EM 6000”?

What kind of pigs are those, and more importantly what kind of barbeque sause are you going to have on them, mustard, tomato or cream based?

Hey Roz, EM 6000 is a fairly new product from Target Coatings. It is a water based lacquer. Sprays nice, dries fast. The chair has a satin finish. It also comes in gloss and semi gloss. The pigs are Piney woods rooters. About four generations down from trapped ferrel pigs. The black one is a barrow, the red one a gilt. I make a mustard and vinegar sau7ce like you would fond in south Ga. and south AL. I was raised in central ga, so I know what bbq souce is suppose to be like.
