Adirondack Chair and Ottoman

Project by Doug B posted 848 days ago 314 views 0 times favorited 10 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I built this Adirondack chair and ottoman for my wife to use on our back patio. I used plans found in Building for the Lawn and Garden by John Kelsey and Ian J. Kirby. The entire project took around 24 hours broken up over three weekends. The plans called for painting the white pine used to build the pieces. I used brick colored exterior latex paint.

Forgot to add that it is a smart thing building something for your wife, it makes it easier for them to aprove of more tools.

Nice project and color choice. Those Adirondack chairs are very comfortable, but a bear for us older guys to get up from :-))

Great chair! A classic project and now becoming a right of passage for all woodworkers!
