I built this Shape Sorter from “Making Toys that Teach” by Les Neufeld last year when my oldest son was about 1 year old. He enjoyed it for sorting the shapes, but more often than not, building a tower with the shapes and knocking it down with the appropriate sound effects.
Finish is food coloring and a few coats of salad bowl finish.
I also just noticed that I’m not very good at this game since there is a red cylinder where an octagon should be.
