I just received my lathe last week and I started to play with it and I simply love it.
My only problem was once again the space in the shop, like any other tools, the lathe had to go on casters. I know it’s crazy and most people are going to say I’m crazy but I have no other choices.
Anyway, in order to add some stability (on wheels, good luck…), I’ve added 2 shelves to the cast iron legs and on the top one I build a sort of drawer to keep most of the accessories out of the dust.
It worked like a charm. First of all the direct drive system is vibration freeto start with but the mdf dampens the few coming from out of round turning.
Finally, my wife made me a tool holder (blue bag on last picture) to store my tools when not in use and I added 5 pvc tubes on the right hand side of the lathe to storage during turning.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for the review soon.
Pierre

Looks great. I think the wheels are a good idea for a smallish shop.

I just got the same lathe but without the cast iron legs. How’s this working out for you?

Really love the cast iron legs, sturdy & heavy.
I took the chance and placed the lathe on casters and even when roughing out bowls it does not move a bit.
Very happy overall
