Thanks for the nice comments. The material I used was oak that my son salvaged from a job he was doing at Bradley University in Peoria, Il. They were throwing all of this oak trim in the dumpster and he had them set it aside. It was all 9 foot long 1×8 ’s. It all toialed about 700 board feet. The nice thing it was all installed about 1890. So it was plenty dry. Lesb, I’ll still be sleeping in the shop and all of that salvaged oak.
