So my shop has been in storage for around two years. DONT MOVE TO AN APPARTMENT!!!! So this is my first big project since I started rebuilding. It’s a vase for my future mother inlaw. It’s made from eastern red cedar and walnut with a tiny bit of white dyed veneer. I think it came out great considering I haven’t done a segmented vase in over two years. I had to change the shape a bit because I removed too much material on the top but I made it work. It’s time to start doing some cooler feature rings I think.

On a side note, if anyone lives in CT, I’m dying to find some local guys I can connect with and swap ideas, tips and just have people I can talk woodworking with.

Good job. I know what you mean. Have looked on line to see if there are any woodworking/woodturning groups that meet in your area? That really helps me.
