Segmented box

This is my first segmeted box using Gerry Bennet’s jig that I made.
I did cheat a bit by not buying his wedgies and made my own out of 1/8th sheeting.
I used a 10 segment wedge at 4” diameter.
It’s amazing how addictive this can become, a bit like making pens.
The segments are western red cedar & radiata pine which are compatible for gluing.
Fun to make but a bit time consuming.
Sealed with sanding sealer & finished with 5 coats of wipe on poly.

That is one thing I still need to learn so I can teach it to the other vets I teach. So I like see all the projects that are made that way.

You are correct. These are a lot of fun in the making. The end result is great cause you never know exactly how it will turn out. Nice job. I hope to get back at doing some of these again soon.
