What are the bowtie shaped inlays on the top? Is that joinery to the legs? Also, what kind of stain/finish did you use?

Very nice job on recycling old wood. I love the ideal of taking something what looks the life of it has been used and making a beautiful piece out of it.

shopmania, i wor with olw wood all the time.i can bet his bowties on top are for either large nail holes or ding that were in the boards….
