First project post ever – String puzzle wine bottle holders I made for the staff at work for christmas this year. I made 7 and gifted 4 so I have some left over in stock for emergency presents. Saw a picture on the internet and went from there. Made from rimu salvaged from the dump and finished with danish oil. Packed wood shavings around for a rustic look. Thanks for viewing.

They make fun gifts for those hard to buy for. Especially if you include a good bottle of wine, champagne or hard liquor.
I made some similar to that many years ago. It was posted on my projects in 2009. My design was a hexagon shape. I did include a printed copy of the solution in a sealed envelop for those who could not figure it out.

Very cool. Is there a build thread anywhere to make these? I’d love to give it a try.

Interested in the puzzle, I made a puzzle that was posted on LJ”’ recently and took 9 to a Christmas party, looking for one for next year.

Nice combination of gift, puzzle and reward at the end.
