I made this box as a Christmas gift for my parents. They love playing scrabble in the evenings while they are camping in the summer. Their game is at least 50 years old, and the original box was falling to pieces. It is made from some maple that I felled, milled, and dried myself. The sliding lid has a magnetic catch that hold it closed.
I used the toner transfer method to apply the label to the lid and sealed it with spray lacquer, the rest of the box is finished with tung oil.

I love it! I’m sure there are a lot of us that need new boxes for our old games.
What’s the font?

A really nice idea and box!
Collector sets come in better boxes, are muh more expensive, but play the same.
Now you have one upped the collector games version.
