Made a new bookcase for my new living room out of red oak plywood and some quartersawn red oak scraps I had in my shop. The bookcase has one fixed and three adjustable shelves (I may add a fourth); each shelf has stiffeners front and rear as the shelves are 34” wide. Finished in Jacobean and 3 coats of water-based satin polyurethane. This was my first project using water-based poly and I really loved working with it (drys very quickly) – hopefully it holds well.

That looks great! Very stately. I like the clean lines.
