Wife demanded a bed

My wife has been shopping around for a farmhouse bed ever since we got our mattress (that’s worth more than my car!) two years ago. For Christmas, we made a promise that its about our kids, not for us and we’d only spend $20 on each other. I bought $20 of tung oil and cheated on the rest since I already had the boards on hand.
Oak frame, Cherry panels with a bit of sycamore thrown in.

And now you’re making her sleep outside? ( ^;

Nice, rustic look to it.

Nicely done. I also like the live edge you added into the design.

Excellent job…looking to build something similar for my wife! Did you work with plans? If so, from where?

I would only modify it to provide storage drawers underneath.
