It’s made of new SYP and old barn pine. My brother-in-law gave me the old barn pine after he tore down some old boat sheds that had been around for many a year and survived many hurricanes on the gulf coast. He lost his home in hurricane Ike. So I put it to use in this combo. I do not have any plans, just put it together as I went along. I started this years ago and put it on the back burner. I saw a picture of it in a magazine of some sort years ago. A partial build had been sitting in a dark corner of the shop. I had to redo some of the old parts because of some water damage or something that got on it. Anyway, it’s finally done. It’s a deep red color because that’s the way the wife wanted it. I don’t ask questions.

Very original and well done. Good looking too. This would probably be real useful in the shop except for the ironing board part. I especially like that it was your own idea.

Isn’t that how you flatten board…by ironing it ?! LOL! Maybe that’s what is wrong with my technique!

I like the project but instead of making it an ironing board, it could be made tall enough to be an outfeed table.

yes, my first lesson in woodworking… if she wants it that way, make it so…

Nice, the Mrs here has been whining about a need for a different step stool… the one she has it too heavy for easy movement. This my be the answer. Although I don’t think I’m that gifted to start this without a plan and some measurements.

Nice job, definitely different. Dustyal, you might consider a library chair, it would probably be a bit lighter than this.

Unique! I’ve seen a medieval chair/table done this way but not this. I like it.
