I found an interesting plan for a downdraft table made by Brad at Fisthisbuildthat (http://fixthisbuildthat.com/diy-downdraft-sanding-table-box/ ). The plan on this site is well-written and photographed. The table inserts are from Rockler and very well made. I decided to mount my table on legs with casters. So, I increased the width of the box to provide an attachement point for the legs. I also added a hook for storage of the DCS hose. The material I choose was select pine, and the stretchers were constructed with mortises and tenons.
Thanks for looking!
