I built this Wedding card box for my cousin. I got the insperation from a project here on Lumberjocks,http://lumberjocks.com/projects/15650 from a toy made to look like a grand piano that used a keyboard. I did not have any plans I just built it from looking at the picture. This one is all wood, and does not make any noise but looks very cool.
I built the piano and another cousin did all the painting.
I used mostly scrap wood and Bendy MDF from Rockler. it is 22” wide and 34” long.
It was very fun to build and the bride and groom loved it.

Nice. When a friend of mine got married to a girl who’s father was a lobster fisherman they used a lobster trap. I am sure it looked a little out of place to anyone who did not know the couple. Yours version would fit any wedding perfectly. Very elegent.

A real nice piece and what looks like an original idea for a wedding card box. I’m sure the newlyweds really liked it. I know I did.

Great job! Maybe you should be building a full size piano. Looks so real. I’m sure the newlyweds loved it.

Very nicely done! I am glad my project inspired someone to build something. There is something about curves that make projects fun…bendy plywood is a wonderful creation.

I have been wanting to do this for my sons wedding. Do you have any construction notes ?
