I like this the most of your posts, nicely done and a great idea. I work with mainly birch as |I have lots of them on my property, the only hard wood in this area.

Simple but very beautiful!
Sometimes the KISS principle (keep It simple, stupid) does make a lot of sense.
Definitely worthwhile!

Any wood burning?
Did you freehand the painting?

Great job! Did you do anything special to keep the bark from peeling off? That always seems to be my problem when I work with my walnut slices.

No wood burning. My fiancé and I free handed the painting.
