This is the second box for my other daughter. She like Holly wanted a jewelry/keepsake box like the one I made for my wife’s and I’s flower girl. I used purpleheart, maple and cherry. Box joints for the side and because of the molding I didn’t want to use contrasting wood for splines on the lid so I used purpleheart. Bookmatched top maple lid pic4. Thanks for taken a look.

Looks great. Just curious about the lid support. Where did you get it?
I like the little pieces that the chain attaches to.

Thank you gsimon and Bobsboxes! I’m still learning but when you do something for people you love you do the best you can.

Stnich, thank you also and I got the chain from Rockler. $16.00 per is a little high but the quality is there. I get most of my hardware there when it matters to me. If I spend a lot of time with working on something I can justify the price to myself. I’ll try to put a link for you. Anything else you or anyone needs let me know. I’m very thankful for this woodworking community and always consider it a honor to help anyone here anyway I can.
