Another Christmas gift for my granddaughter. More work than I thought it would be…but worth it. There are 55 pieces all made from 1/2 inch poplar…10 different shapes and colors. Some of the shapes have the same number of sides as the corresponding number…the 3,4,5,6,8….useful later for teaching geometry. Starting with number one the first seven colors correspond to the length of the waves in the visible light portion of the electromagnetic spectrum (think rainbow)....useful later for teaching science. The shapes are painted with non-toxic water colors as are the numbers. The base is simply coated with a mixture of mineral oil and beeswax.

Thanks for looking…and Merry Christmas to all.
