all end grain boards
first was a hard glue up is purpleheart, padauk and hickory
2ND is all hickory every other row flipped and then off set about 1/4 inch
3rd is purpleheart, hickory and a line of padauk. that was hard to get straight bown the center
copied the diamonds from a board i saw Larry make
hard to do but looks cool when it is done

beautifull !

i’ll bet larry could use a shop foreman ,
it would give him more time ,
to use the chair ,
and meditate designs .

these are really nice , eddy .

I add my approval to the boards and would be proud to put my stamp to them…

PhotobucketI especially like the second one… all the grain orientation is in the same direction and the patterns seem to flow into each other..
The first has a 3D quality and the flames are fantastic and the diamonds add a touch of elegance.
However the third is a little off.. nice job but for my taste the grain orientation is a tad uncoordinated. Rolling all the cuts the same way would have IMHO created a far more pleasing pattern.
Please take this in the spirit it was given,, I mean only to help you improve. I feel that fair criticism is what you want.

Larry thank you i really haven’t been paying attention to the grain orientation on the square block
boards but now that you have shown me i will make it a habit. i see what you mean it would flow a lot better
