First project from lumber I milled

I finally got a chance to build something from the lumber that I’ve milled on my new bandsaw mill that I built.
It’s a five footer from red cedar. I have put a finish on it, just wiped it down with water seal to take the pictures. I have already put it on ebay and craig’s list. Maybe it won’t take long for it to get a new home.

Good job. Do you have a kiln to dry it?

Topamax, with this eastern red cedar, a couple of weeks air drying, is all that’s required with it. I am in the process of building a kiln. Hope to have it up and running in a week or so.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. The pictures really don’t come close to doing the wood justice, it’s really a lot better looking than the pictures show.

WOW….... what a swing. I wish I had a place for it. That is a beauty. Now I know what that piece of cedar I got from you will look like when I get it turned. You did a great job.
