Made from scrap ipe and birch, but the drawers were dovetailed ipe and maple. The ipe hardness dulled the chisels which required sharpening after every dovetail.
Ipe is finished with teak oil and the rest finished with danish oil.
Got the idea for the raised shelf from Canadian Home Workshop magazine.

Really nice…........very modern piece with that extended shelf….......who wouldn’t use that to store and charge your phone on overnight. Or as a place to put your watch, wallet, keys, alarm clock etc.
Well done.

Very nice work Joel. I like the clean lines, and tight dovetails. Sounds like you are also getting a bit of practice with your sharpening skills. Happy holidays.
