Nice addition to your shop storage. Great work!
Just asking, wouldn’t the side walls limit the length of lumber to be cut?

looks nice for a shop. Do the bottom drawers rub on the floor when opened? You may consider a kick.

nice – will be building some shop cabinets in the near future myself… looks to be about 10’ (+/-) between the walls .. more than enough room for me

I went back and forth on if I should use this space or not for the bench. In the end I figure 90% of the time I should be good with the space I have. The total lenth of the bench is almost 12’, so I’m good for most of my cuts. For the cuts that need more room I can move the miter to my old bench that is now an assembly table.

This is a nice looking miter bench that you built, Jeff. It will add needed storage to your shop and give you a nice work surface to run your miter saw.
Are you planning on adding any extension wings?

Bob,
Very nice job on the bench. Ton’s of space here. I’d be tempted to make this a full time work bench vs a part time miter bench. I’d also add a vise.
Here’s another idea for the extension wings.

Nice setup Jeff.
Is it an optical illusion caused by the stool or the size of the drawers, but the table top seems to be low for a miter saw station? Unless you plan to use it while sitting on the stool.
I also noticed that the tabletop overhangs from the front. If so, there’s no need for toe-kick as kolwdwrkr said. But I agree with him, they seem to be rubbing on the floor.
Best,
Serge
