The boys bugged me all winter for a play yard in our backyard. It is built all from Red Cedar.

Wow. Great build. I am going to have to sucomb to teh wife, and buy one b/c I don’t have the time to build one. The only problem is they want ~$4K for it, and even more for installation. YIKES!!! You did a great job, and I bet the boys love it.

I also want to build one next summer but becasue of time I was going to buy one. Then a friend of mine bought one and I helped him put it together. It took a really long time because there were about a million peices and the instruction were poor. Also the wood was some soft wood staind to look like ceder. We put it up last year and just this year and this year I found some rot on one leg of a ladder. I think 2 guys with a good set of plans could maybe build one just as quickly. In the end I don’t think you will save any money though becuase the accessories are very expensive but you will have a custom set which you could sell when the kids outgrow it becasue the wood will still be in good shape.
