Hi, I made this Challenge coin holder for my brother. He is in the Air Force but i don’t hold that against him, I was Army. He told me awhile ago that he need to hold around 20 or 30 coins and wanted me to build him something. I pretended to blow it off and gave him some B.S. answer or workaround know full well i was going to build him one for Christmas. So here it is, it made of Mahogany that i have had for ever and Red Oak star, and boarders. I by my best guess it will hold around 30 coins. It started off easy with cutting the coin holder slots and shape out. Even inlaying the star and angled pieces was easy enough. But the boarder was Hell because not all the outside was strait. I wound up trying to rip the pieces down and bend them to fit while nail gunning them in place which didn’t work that well and the seams are visible. But i really learned a ton from this little project and had a ton of fun in the process. Well if you read through all that thanks and i hope you have a happy holidays.
