This is my first little half blind dovetail box with a sliding lid. It’s made of walnut and white pine, and done completely with hand tools. No power. As you can see I have a long way to go in my woodworking skill, but this was fun.

Very nice and you have nothing to be ashamed of. The variations in the dovetails proves it is handmade. Very well done.

Looks great, Like the combination of walnut/pine makes the dovetails pop.

Thanks Phil7b7 I like the contrasting woods too. The pine is really difficult to work because of how soft it is. It’s hard not to crush the fibers.

I f that is your first hand made project, you have a bright future ahead of you. The small variations or differences just add to the hand made aspect and are not something that makes the project wrong or bad. Congratulations on the project…..........
