Walnut coffee table. I was able to use up a lot of short pieces on the panels. Panels are tongue and groove, slightly re cessed to the rails. Rails are recessed to the legs. Legs are 2 pieces edge glued with 45 degree edges to give illusion of a solid leg. Top was made with some boards that had some minor imperfections like some twist, knots, etc. I used breadboard ends and chamfer on edges of glue joint to hide the variations so that I would not have reduce thickness which is around 7/8”. The bottom is just a simple aromatic cedar, sitting on ledger boards. Top lifts up with lift brackets and create a box for storage.
