Mahogany Laminate that is…..:(
Oh well, got to pay the bills.

Sketchup helped sell the job. (It’s a great tool for showing the client what their getting, no surprises!!)

This is a study desk for a 12 and 15 year old. (12 year old is the model)
Nothing fancy, full extension accurides on all the drawers, the larger bottom drawers will hold letter or legal size files. The pencil drawers have dividers for the pencils, pens, erasers, etc, etc…
I made cork boards for the back wall.

No excuses for not doing their homework now.

Thanks, the 15 year old boy could really care less, (typical 15 year old) even though he fought over who got what side. The girl said she really likes it because it looks like an office instead of kids stuff, but then said she was going to cover the cork with pink fabric. LOL

Looks great. I don’t think it would have any influence on my kids homework though…

Thank you all for the comments.
Being Plastic Laminate I was a little hesitant on even posting it. It’s pretty basic stuff but I was hoping if nothing else it could give someone some ideas.
Thanks again.

bentlyj,
Very nice design. I assume that the laminate was chosen for cost considerations? Is it installed over MDF? I’m sure the customer is happy with the project, whether it becomes an inducement for more studying or not! Congratulations on a great build and design. Keep on keeping on!

Sincerely,
Ken McGinnis
