I got into pen making about 5 years ago and completely love it. Such a change of gear from making larger scale projects like furniture or cabinets. If anyone has ever considered whether to turn pens or not…I’d highly encourage it. Except…of course…it’s extremely addicting. Most of the pens I make go to friends/co-workers and family.
Included in the pics are various acrylic, Amboyna burl, Cobra skin, sunflower seed, Buckeye burl and Python skin.

Great looking pens. Do you cast your own skins? I have been thinking about giving it a try.

Fantastic pens. One of these days I will get hooked on that too. Looks like lots of fun.

No….I bought the skins. From listening to my fellow pen makers trying to make their own castings…it sounds really tough. I’ll leave that up to the experts.
Wow….I just noticed a couple of the pics are really bad. Have to fix.
