These are the projects that have kept me busy lately. Since out daugher is due in October, I am almost done with the wish list from the wife.
The first is a bow holder for our soon-to-be daugher’s hair bows. Nothing special here, just 1/2” poplar cut to shape, and then a 3/8” round-over along the edges. Key holes in back for hanging. The letters were traced onto the wood from a Word document, and then mass material take-out was done with my new Bosch Colt router. The edges were then cleaned up with carving tools and sandpaper.
The second is a shelf for decorations and is ~10”x44”x10”. A little scroll work in the shelf supports seemed to add a little bit of “flare” to the piece, and it was nice to get back on the scroll saw. I had not used it in quite some time. Obvisouly both proejcts were painted, so I didn’t have to worry about finishing them.
