This is one of four Candy/Nut size bowls I made to have more lower-cost bowls available for an up-coming craft show Labor-Day weekend. It is made primarily of Monterillo with a base of Goncalo Alves (on end grain) with the star motif. The star itself is made of Epoxy. The decorative strips are Bloodwood and Maple.

I like the way the star turned out. The Epoxy allows the entire star to be made without any internal glue lines that are present when I used wood to make them in the larger bowls.

Beautifull bowl. I love the star in the middle. It really makes this piece stand out. Great idea useing epoxy. Like yoiu said “no lines”.

Keep up the great work.

It came out fantastic.

The star on the bottom is a homerun!
