This is one of four Candy/Nut size bowls I made to have more lower-cost bowls available for an up-coming craft show Labor-Day weekend. It is made primarily of Monterillo with a base of Goncalo Alves (on end grain) with the star motif. The star itself is made of Epoxy. The decorative strips are Bloodwood and Maple.
I like the way the star turned out. The Epoxy allows the entire star to be made without any internal glue lines that are present when I used wood to make them in the larger bowls.
