Antler Mount .... A local hunter found me through one of my outlets, and came to my house with a rough sketch of what he wanted; a plaque with a graphic representation of his compound bow, with a space to mount the trophy antlers from this fall’s hunt. The plaque is 9×12 inches, quarter sawn oak, with the bow frame, limbs, sight, and cams made from 1/8 inch walnut. There are many more parts to the bow, but since the antlers were going to be mounted in the center, he wanted it kept simple. He is planning to put a small brass plate in the center with details.
He did send me a photo of the mount….a nearly perfectly symmetrical 8-pointer.
