My mother and brothers truly have a servant’s heart. A ‘serving tray’ seemed to be a fitting Christmas gift. Making them turned into a family affair. My wife suggested the handle design. My two youngest sons and I did the hands on work. They were a hit. (The model is definitely a keeper!!!!!)

They are walnut around book-matched panels of maple, walnut, and cherry, finished with lacquer.
13 1/2” x 20”, 3” high at top of handles.

I must say an excellent set of trays the handles I like and the bookmatching identifies a craftsman at work there.
At first I thought the “model” was missing a finger on her right hand but on closer examination I see four red nails!

No doubt an optical illusion to see if people really look at the details.

There must be something in our genes as humans. Anytime I have ever made a serving tray or cutting board, they turn out to be the most popular items.
And yours are no exception – beautiful!

Good thing you cleared it up about the model. I was going to ask is she was “for sale” too! Definitely a keeper!

these turned out great and would definitely make nice gifts
I like the racing stripes, they add a dynamic element to the tray
