Assorted turnings

Project by woodbutcher posted 90 days ago 245 views 0 times favorited 7 comments Add to Favorites Watch

These are some assorted turnings that got in the way, once I was turning the feet and finials for my Adulterated Federalist table. This is why my projects take so long to complete. These other little things pop-up! Salt& Pepper shakers/toothpick holder are Brazilian Cherry & White Oak-Bud Vases are Brazilian Cherry and White Oak-small bowl is Ambrosia Maple and the unfinished dish is Cherry @ 2” x 10 1/8” haven’t decided on the finish for it yet. Now I can move on too something else!

Love the inlay work on the salt/pepper shakers and the toothpick holder!

Very nice turnings. All great designs. Nice set of s&p&tp holder. How did you do the inlay?

The bud vases are nice also. The one next to the s&p looks a little bottom heavy to me. (Just my Opinion.) The other looks like a wooden bottle. I like it!

That cherry’s grain is really going to POP when finished. Will have to add pic later?

All great turnings.

Keep up the great work.

Very nice, Ken.

That ambrosia maple bowl looks like a dinner dish for a very pampered pooch.

This makes me want a Lathe more and more and more.

Seeing all these Great turnings, Designs etc.

Only if Money allowed it I’d have one and I’d be turning my own things to use aorund the house… I really love the look of Wood bowls, Spoons etc…

i think if I had a Lathe, Everything I own except my Cookware would be made of wood, even my Glasses, Coated with non toxtic finish and water resistant to allow me to use for my Milk or other liquid.

Thanks for Shareing, Such wonderful Post.
