I carved this Carved Snake Walking Sticks last summer.

The snake was carved on twisted stick.

I use acrilic paint to paint the marking, sometimes I use more brown paint, sometimes I use more black.

After, the paint has dried, I apply 3 or 4 coats of polyurthane over the paint.

Sometimes I carve a perosn’s name or initials.

Also, I coat each carved snake with a glow in the dark mixture.

Very nice, I’d be proud to own even one of those.

WOW, those are spectacular! Beautiful symmetry and detail in them all. I can see why those are so popular. Great stuff, welcome to LumberJocks…...................

Well done. I use a cane I carved everyday and have about 7 or 8 blanks in my shop area and one of them is reserved just for that kind of a carving for me. Hopefully mine turns out as well as yours did.
