I was able to get a Shapeoko 3 earlier this year and I finally got around to making a proper cabinet for it.

The top is a torsion box design so it should stay flat for many years. The bottom features five drawers on full-extension slides for plenty of storage.

While this is geared towards housing my CNC, it can function as a great work table for any purpose beyond just CNC.

This really tested my skill because I had never made a cabinet before that had drawers. It was a bit of a challenge to make it all perfectly square and for the tight tolerances of the drawer slides to all line up properly. There were a few hitches along the way but for the most part it went smoothly. I’m already making my next cabinet “like” project in CAD and look forward to sharing it with you.

Lots of photos, videos, and plans available at my website:

Merry Christmas!

Nice looking cabinet, how are you liking the Shapeoko 3?

After getting some bugs worked out, it’s a great machine.
