Got a request from my mom & pop to help them with some Christmas gifts this year. She found something similar to these online, but the company charges $60/piece + shipping, yikes! I went to the local Rockler and picked up some maple that was o. Sale, and was able to make a batch of 10 boards for right around $60 in materials, which made mum happy.

There was 10 total, but the first ones I finished needed to be mailed ASAP and I forgot to take pics of them. I ended up making a template out of 1/4” ply, and using it to trace up the handle so it was the exact same on each. Size is 10” x16” for each, and they are finished with Butcher block conditioner, 2 coats of walnut oil, and a top coat of beeswax paste.

Thanks for looking, comments/questions/suggestions welcome!

Really cool. Way better than store bought anyway.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. Im sure Larry can atteat that the laser is a great addition, should really only be used to compliment the other fundamental skills.

They are really coming down in price now, too. Maybe tis the season for Santa to deliver one to all of you?!

Merry Christmas to you all!
