Folding Table with a Drawer

This is a folding TV/Camping table that can be folded up for storage. I have made them before and they are simple to make. However, my son wanted one with a drawer so he can store his drawing things with the table. That request was hard to engineer because by making a drawer and affixing to the table, it makes the table a non-collapsible table. But, I came up with a way to be able to pull the drawer and assembly out so everything can still become portable. You can see how I accomplished this by the drawer assembly removable by simply unscrewing the wing nuts under the table and sliding the assembly out of the cross bar. Clear as mud, I’m sure. But, it’s exactly what he wanted.

The actual table took approximately 3 days to make from planning the boards to finish assembly. The drawer assembly took about 4 days just trying to come up with a method that would work to finish assembly.

Very interesting and well engineered addition to the tables. If a person puts his mind to something it is amazing the problems that can be solved. Way to go, first class solution.

Thanks guys, it was a pain in the butt to engineer. I’m sure it will work for his purpose.
